Rolled her into the shop to detail her. It’s kind of amazing. I had a lot of good guidance from the club and Mud when I blindly dove off into this project 4 years ago. Everything under the hood has a memory and a story.

One truly amazing thing is that other than using black wire to repair all of my burned up wiring, there is not much I would change on it.

Got the engine done. Belts snugged. Added a couple quarts of fluids.

Off to the body and the sweet smell of Fluid Film

Underside was it terrible

But it’s better now

That's a cool cat lol. Any specific tools of the trade for engine detailing?

Then I ran back to the container and dig out the Real Steel bows I’ve had stashed for a couple of months. Those and some Mosley Motors/Holley boxes 😬 (not for Project Patina)

I started putting this jigsaw puzzle together. No instructions 🙄.

I can’t believe this pile was ever that color.

The top shipped today. I’ll be ready for it. More tomorrow

I can’t find a post on step by step install of factory bows so I’ll toss some key words here and see if they help others

My 68 had the holes for the rear bars. I had to break and cut the bolts out but the holes are there

Overall it’s stout. The only issues I had was fitting the powder coated parts together since the tolerances are tight

Praying a grey soft top is about to appear. Awesome.

Legitimate

Thanks Andy for telling me how to feed this thing into all the channels.

it’s just sitting up there. I should be able to tighten it up with the turnbuckles and corner footman loops tomorrow.

Gotta get it dirty too.
