Dan, are you talking about the width of the bearing hub or dia. I'm thinking width and how much room you have with the clutch fingers. I'm digging deep here, but back in the 70's I did a engine swap in my 40 and had problems with fitting a pressure plate. The solution was a shorter hub. That's all I can remember, smoke is coming out of my ears!
It's the height or thickness if that makes any sence. This is the bearing my auto parts store has given me. I though it was wrong so I ordered another and it's the same. It fits on the hub so I will try it. The two pics are either side of te bearing. What side to the pressure plate??
Not too much to report.. Sm420 swap worked out great. Drives good. Replaced the drivers door. But back in he shop right now for more body work. Just out for a Little rip at the river behind the farm!
