Bummer to see this up for sale.

BTW, how was routing the 3" exhaust out of the engine bay? Did you have to cut the wheel well to make clearance?

Not cutting required. Plenty of room for the exhaust.

said goodbye to the truck tonight... it left for it's new home today. Thanks to everyone for the great advice along the way. Now to start searching for the next project... :)

The new project arrived last weekend. 1964 FJ40... body, frame, no drive train AND a clean CA title. Sexy front 3-link solid angle iron suspension.

The tub is in great shape... sans the smashed up rear quarters and the terrible fender cut job. :)

I will start a build thread eventually. For now I will be collecting parts...

Hard to believe it's been a year since I sold the 70. A picture of it got bumped on Facebook and it made me come back to this thread to remember how much fun this truck was... :) I haven't made too much progress on my new build...

Here are a couple of pic of the bone stock purist restoration FJ40 project.

I was the guy that resurrected your old pic when I asked about the lights. I'm going through my own tribulations with how to mount the right side slider and somewhat trying to use your idea though it's a lot more compact under the 71 than I'm used to. Have fun with that 40 and the "OME" parts you're installing

Maxxis trepadors. Very solid choice there if u do decide to start a build thread please post the link to it here. Looks neat as. Cheers

Selling a few 70 specific parts that I recently found in the garage...

Dash Panel - new -

Valce Adjustment Tool - new -

I found the altimeter dash cover for $65 online new. I'll experiment with it. I'm pretty sure if I can make a nice faceplate for the gauges and it should be pretty easy to mount on my dash. My HZJ did not come with the OEM altimeter, so this thing should do the trick.
