WOW! When you post up, YOU POST UP!

Looks killer! I can't wait to see the pics of this beast in action!

Thanks!

Next build I have to budget in more time to post pics more often than every six weeks :D:doh:

Im really trying to do this one right and so I have to sit under the truck for a least an hour every night remeasuring things before I cut or weld :hmm:

Very nice. I wish I could work that fast.

I think youve got a little more going on that I do brother ;)
The 40s looking good:clap: the wheelbase and cage makes it look fast just sitting in the driveway :steer:

great build! it seems to be coming together very nicely.

wow... that thing is sick! very nice hydraulic steering ram... looks like it was quite pricey! this isn't actually going to be just for show is it?

Thanks!

Naghhh, its built for GO BABY! It may be "kinda" nice, but its still a beater at heart :p I should have videos to back this up very soon

I went all out and got the full hydro this time. I havent been happy nickle and diming with assist and Im running 39" with a welded front end so . . . . I really did spend more on the steering than the initial cost of the truck:doh::eek:

Ive gone through about five trucks :hillbilly: over the last couple of years and this is exactly what I want in a trail rig. The ony thing that I would consider ghetto is the welded diffs and maybe if I had a little more cash I would put an ARB in the front and run it off of a paintball CO2 tank, but that is just one more thing to fail :meh: All Ive know is welded so there it is:meh:

I realllly hope the combo of everything chromolly works :hmm::steer:

The wifey is going out of town this weekend so it should be running again---not driving-- but running :flipoff2: soon

Worked on it a bunch but you cant really tell by looking at it:flipoff2: The little stuff is a killer!!

Plated the frame where the motor mount connects. I need to beef it up too.

Burned in the front suspension. When I build the front bumper Im going to box these in.

Almost forgot about this guy. It shouldnt come off :p

The body flexed back about 2" when I cut off the body mounts and beat the fenders. It was a red **** hair from touching the radiator.

Had to slide this clamp down. The spring may still hit without it :eek:I have room to move the rad up 1" before it hits the hood. I might do it just so it wont hang down quite as far.

The giant factory airbox wont fix anymore so I got a new filter and MAF adapter.

My A/C line was broken :crybaby: and the little guy on the left only cost $69 form the Stealership  worth evey penny though. Ive got $130 in fixing the A/C and it will be worth ten times that this August :flipoff2:

Playing with fuel pumps. I was worried about swapping these, then I realized Im a dumbass and I only need two wires to make it run like everything else :whoops: I just always seem to let the magic smoke out of wires when I play with them.

Started working on the rear fuel cell and battery mounts and I made it this far before the second happened.

These should fit just right between the bedskins.

Thats about it I guess. The little stuff is kickin my ass. The new battery cable was a foot short, so I had to find another length, cut of off, go to Lowes, get a 4 gauge connector, find my shrinkrap, tie it up and hook it up. What should have taken 10min took 1.5 hours  But is running and blowing cold air :D so thats a great motovator.

We are leaving on the 22nd to KY so Ive got 20 days to: mount the batterys and fuel cell, new spark plugs, weld in exhaust, weld in rear suspension, put in driveshafts, mount shocks, get it steering and stopping, put my cage in, and have a least a halk-assed test run at a minium. I hope to have the bumper, winch, sliders, bobed skins and paint done, but we shall see . . .

as it sits today . . .

::edit:: damn it looks tall! Its really only 2.5" of lift! I guess its that damn fender trimming job
14" under the front diff too.

Thanks! Ive got some video of my wife giving me the stink eye when I made her come outside when I tried to crank it for the first time

Oh yeah, your ignitor has to be grounded for the truck to run :flipoff2:

When are you driving the 60 up to the states?

When are you driving the 60 up to the states?

Mmm drive she .. I don't think so .. but I love to shipp her, pic in Miami and drive to Tellico/Slick rock .. ( my dream ) ..

Not sure if she gonna be street legal there .. but .. who cares ! :D

Battery box work

The boxes are for putting a portable battery in your boat and the battery would bounce around in this truck, so I super-fabbed a hold down and trimmed the box. Its so muddy around here and I want to be able to keep the clean/ accessible

Got some 1x1 angle and made a cell hold down. It has weather stripping on the inside to give a little give for the frame flexing.

Its not finished, but Im likeing the way its coming out.
