Hey all,

I'm looking at getting something like an old 80 series landcruiser with about a $15K (overall) budget, I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me know about what I kind of things I might need to do on it as from research almost all cars this price are beaten up and will need a bit of work so I was wondering about the process of doing up a car, how much I should spend on the car, tools, bodywork etc.

$15,000 for something beat up? For $15,000 it better be in pretty decent shape or it isn’t worth buying. There may be a few small issues here and there but overall should be solid and turnkey. If you haven’t found that yet, keep looking and keep saving money.
