Just about to take the 70 off the road and hit it with the DA and some 40 grit. I should have a good idea how bad it is with the exploratory surgery soon although it seems to get worse by the day. I pealed the nine pounds of roofing tar out of the wheel wells and its not pretty. If it is beyond repair I may just go south for a decent 40 or 60 and swap the power train over with the rest of the goodies. I'm dead set on saving it but I always like to have a contingency plan. I'm guessing the 40 series is more compatible as for as parts interchangeability with drive line and suspension parts. There certainly are more body panels available for them. I missed out on the 71 tub at EBI and haven't had a lot of luck looking for another one. 70 tubs are a rare commodity.

I have a BJ71 arriving shortly, the tub is okay from the look of the photos.

Due to arrive on or about June 10th and will be parting the whole thing out - 13BT, 5 speed, full floater...
