Chunk is for sale.

Lots of good and lots of not so good.
This won't be like my comprehensive, past for sale threads.

Comes with a fair amount of extras including donor metal
for the pass. rocker, a better front door for that side, full
rust repair panels (with dogleg) for the rear wheel wells
Interior is pretty good...dash has a molded dash cover on it.
Driver seat is a pass. seat on driver brackets and is the
roughest of the seats. Just put a new MAF 2.5" catback
exhaust on it and a "test pipe" to replace the cat.
Most smog equipment is present other than the cat
and the vanes in the air pump are removed.

Pretty sure the engine failure was head-based...sucked
a valve maybe...don't know for sure but after a lot of clatter,
was running on 5 cylinders. No oil slick, no coolant puddle,
no galley plug failure, no overheat. Not even really smoking
or anything...just something audibly let go.

First $2500 and a lowboy trailer get's the whole Kit & Kaboodle.

I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I'll post what pics I have and take more upon request.

ATTENTION: Check Post #21 for new BONUS PRIZE OFFER :)

PRICE DROP - $2000

Okay folks....
I'm going to add a little sugar to this deal....
I'm instituting a "Bonus Prize" component.

The person/party that buys Chunk at full asking is going to receive their choice (1X) of three cool items.

The items are:

1: A 1999 Washburn HB35S Semi-hollow body electric guitar in

Tobacco Sunburst with Gibson Classic 57 pick-up in neck position

and Peavey practice amp.

2: A 1977 Orvis Rod/Reel combo - Far & Fine 5wt 7'-9" rod with

a first edition, first phase Orvis CFO III reel made by Hardy Bros. of England.

3: 1973/74 Winchester Model 94 Lever-action rifle in 30-30 Ackley Improved.

(which I would only transfer ownership of via an FFL to FFL transfer. And buyer
must be eligible to legally own this item)

These items range in current subjective value of $500-$800 each.

If you're interested, just post up any questions. I'll try to get some good pics up.

EDIT 7/22:

The price has been lowered to $2000
and the bonus prize is still in effect...
HOWEVER
The Winchester Lever Action has been
removed from the list of choices.

This could be what I've been looking for. What is the condition of the frame and the sheetmetal in rear and tailgate?

..always wanted a lever action too.. hmm

This could be what I've been looking for. What is the condition of the frame and the sheetmetal in rear and tailgate?

Frame is good, other than a couple spots with slag on it from before I owned it...apparently
it was on a linked set-up for some portion of it's life. easy to grind off though.

Rear C-Channels are better than most...a little "wafering"

body sheet metal in the rear sill and tailgate is spotless.
Rear wheel wells have rust, hence the repair panels.
The rust is isolated to rear arch of the wheel wells...doglegs
and door jams not effected at all.

Let me know specifically what you want to see and I'll get some more shots up :)

Sorry it's mud covered in some areas...when the motor went, I wanted to limp it home as
quickly as possible to minimize damage and unfortunately, that didn't include a trip to the carwash ;)

I've tried to show the hail damage to the windshield apron and roof...

I've also tried to show the slag left over on the front frame from when it was a linked set-up
(prior to my owning it) but I think that could be ground off fairly easily.

Door drains are pretty recoverable with some sanding and rust converting paint. IMHO

Oh, and something I forgot to mention...

Chunk has developed the "drip rail leak" up by the top of the A Pillar...(driver-side)
I thought it was the windshield gasket but further examination and research
indicates that it's the drip rail. I don't know what it looks like under the
interior cloth but if I had to guess, it's not horrible as SW Colorado is
extremely low humidity. Like NO humidity.

Thanks for the additional pics. After thinking hard about it, I'll have to pass. Timing just isn't right for a rebuild project.

Happy Independence Day everyone :)

A lot of views each day so I know someone is thinking about it ;)

I work from home (graphic designer) so the price isn't going to go
down due to desperation...
