i am new to the landcruiser scene. need some feedback as i just got a fj45lv wagon i talked to jeremiah at proffitts and was tinking about sending the car there for some work any recommendations or feed back would be appreciated. thanks

from what i hear they a reputable and do a good job, i wouldnt hesitate to send my stuff there.

have no doubt about the quality of work done at Proffit's. Take a look in the '60 forum at Exiled's truck (4Bt conversion +++) done a Proffit's.

I hear they're very busy, but the work done is top notch.

Welcome.

Jeremiah builds quality vehicles, is a very knowledgeable person not only Land Cruisers, but many other topics as well, and I have found him very willing to take the time to share that info with other people. I have not spent a dollar at his shop, but have talked with him on the phone a few times, and every time, he has been very helpful.

Good luck!

What exactly will you be doing to it?...... if you don't mind me asking. The Toyata Trails, March/April, issue just showed up. There is an article about fj62, w/fj60 headlights, diesel conversion that Proffitt's Cruisers did. The article is not exactly about him but about the process the owner went through to come with the dicision to send it off. Good read if you ask me.

try proffitts cruisers and i am now in process of arranging to get my 45 gifu up to him. i am glad that the tlc community is very helpfull.

jeremiah is an excellent dude to have work on your rig.

Would you be able to post some pics in the FJ45 Owners Club of this site. Most of us 45LV guys don't get out much and would love to see what you have.

here is a link:

Also try:

www.root45.com

Tons of 45LV pictures

One more guy that is in LA and who is on this site a bunch is Mark from

www.marksoffroad.net

He is also a 45 guy.

Ok, now I am completely out of ideas and recommendations. Good luck.

I blew five years worth of Cruiser budget at Proffitt's last year and I cannot say enough good things about Jeremiah and his people. The only caveat is that, like most very good shops, they're chronically overburdened, make sure you account for that time frame. It will be worth the wait. The price for what you get is *more* than reasonable.

I am having my 82 fj40 restored there now. I will agree that they are overburdened, but Jeremiah is a great guy, and the work I saw while I was there dropping off my rig was v. nice.

As soon as I get some photos back from him I will post them.

i am in los angeles and thanks everyone for the prompt reply.

if your in LA you need to drive the fj45 over to marks shop and have him do an inspection on it, he will let you know about every thing that wrong with the truck and a game plan on what you should do. Call first he gose wheeling a lot

I called Jeremiah a few weeks ago to pick his brain.
He gave me some price ranges, and he was extremely cordial on the phone.

He did say it could be a year and also did not phase him on logistics if I wanted to get him my '75 from WI, which impressed me.
Good luck:beer:
