Hey 12H-T lovers...

I have a somewhat weird question: With all the talented people out there in the 4wd community across the world, is there any constraint, be it "legal", "mechnical", "financial" etc. that would prevent someone or some "after-market companies" to (re)produce a much sought-after engine such as the 12H-T?

“Making” an engine (casting the block and machining all the parts) likely costs tens of millions of dollars or more. Nobody makes new engines except the multi billion dollar automotive corporations. (GM, Ford, Toyota, BMW, Mercedes etc.)

If you want to do something about your worn out 12HT, either replace it with a more modern engine (that already exists) or try to find a place that can rebuild it.

That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
