I did my FJ40 frame and several other pieces with Rust Bullet silver in October of 2007. My prep was sand blasting, blow off the dust and apply two coats with a brush. This all sat indoors for 3 years, then had to sit outdoors for about 6 months, under a tarp, while I was building a house. It has been in my garage every since. I am starting to see rust bleed through on every piece. Not that impressed with the silver.
In contrast I used the Black Shell on several pieces that were in the same environment and they show no sign of rust at all... So YMMV...
I plan to pressure wash the frame, let dry, then cover the silver with the Black Shell which I should have done in the first place...
