hey guys i have 2 problems with my truck atm,

one is: when i have it in 4wd hi or low the front drive shaft hits on the gearbox cross member, does anyone know how i can fix that, i have replaced all gearbox and motor mounts and it still hits.

two is: my car wont start properly every since i put the 2b in my bj40 and got rid of the B the glow system doesnt seem to work and it is really hard to start and it seems like the battery is flat even tho the altenator is putting out 16.7v.
all the wiring in the car seems to be fine as the 2b was just pretty much a plug and play modification over the B.

my edic motor doesnt seem to be working as it doesnt move when i turn the ignition on would the solve my problems if i got that fixed and what is the purpose of the EDIC??

thanks mitch

Have you done a 5 sp conversion with a later t/case? From memory the factory crossmember has a notch or a "dent"for clearance on the BJ42

I think Zoltan was having the same problem with his HZJ75 so maybe have a look at his thread or ask him

As far as your starting problem gose is your rig 12 or 24 volts? 16.7 volts seems way too much for 12 volts and not enough for 24.

hey man if the edic motor is in the off position it will never start. i am learning about the edic as well.

Hi Mitch
Sorry to post this drawing yet again but it seems to be frequently useful. It shows how the EDIC should position the lever on the injector pump for "turning the engine off" (shutting off the fuel), "normal running", and "starting" (overinjection position):

Yes. My info says if a 12V battery is fed more than 14.7V it points to regulator problems.

sorry guys i actually ment 10.6v at each plug but i have seemed to fix the elctrical problem i just need the edic reco'd and then that will be fine i just need to figure out how to stop the front drive shaft from hitting the cross member. any idea's??
