Starting to think the rough idle is the intake-exhaust manifold gasket.Who surfaces the intake exhaust manifold in this area that you guys think is good? Mike

Did you check the rubber bellows between air cleaner/MAF and the throttle body for cracks? They get brittle with age and crack if you look at them wrong.

Did you get the intake and exhaust resurfaced? I may be needing mine done.

No not yet. Had to replace broken parts around the house and get some work done,this all got in the way.Plus we had to put new OME springs under Charlies 1982 fj-40. My daughters is just sitting, I need to get back on it so she can get to college. Mike
