Hey was prepping for some tight switchbacks and thought I'd do the Pin 7 mod on my 100...so it looks like it worked as far as the center diff not locking automatically when I shift to Lo....but it also seems to have kept me from locking the center manually with the button on the dash! I'm counting on the wealth of knowledge of this group to tell me what I did wrong....help!

@LCReunion I am no mechanic or elctrician but maybe the CDL Button is not getting power anymore?

When you press the CDL does the light flash on the dash (under speedometer or so) or nothing happens?

Reading this might help ya: Pin 7 mod

@LCReunion Here's the wiring diagram from a '98 for reference. Is it possible you cut pin 3 by mistake?

Pin 7 is black with a lite blue stripe, while pin 3 is lite blue with black stripe... easy to mix up. Cutting pin 3 would cause the behavior you see, it's the power supply for the CDL motor.
