One question before I drop the "IN" button. I have heard any modular / bolted together rack will develop squeeks and rattles by a number of people. Are owners using thread lock (LOTS of nuts and bolts here) or has this been a non-issue?

I haven't heard of this complaint in my research, but maybe someone who owns one could chime in or you could ask here PrInSu Design Studio - 80 series roof rack
Can anyone tell me the height of this rack? For instance, the installed height above the rain gutters? Or how much higher it is than the factory roof rack bars? I still park my 80 in the garage, but it is close.

Yeah I think it sits a bit lower...
