I bought a new Downey 22 gallon long range fuel tank with digital sending unit and aluminum skid plate for my FJ40 in April of this year. It was super easy to install and has worked great. Problem is now I want to do a 4 link on my rear suspension and relocate the axle backwards and the tank will be in the way.
This unit was a little over $750 for the tank, sending unit and skid plate. I also had the stock Downey filler neck professionally modified so it mounts a little higher and is easier to pump gas into. The stock filler neck went straight in and you had to run the pump at a trickle or it would kick off. Mine now curves down and works much better. I also have a new Conn-Ferr style filler neck which uses a square mount (Downey unit is round) and has a slight down tilt on the filler. Asking $500 OBO
