I am looking at a red(maroon) 2013 lx570 with a tan interior. Not super liking the color...is this a negative in terms of resale or desirability?

I can tell you that I’m on the market as well but would probably pass on this color unless its a significatly lower mileage with good history.

Thanks Tadem. Yah it’s a single owner car with detailed dealer service history and appears clean.

That's my favorite color combo and the year I was looking at used (LX) before I bought new (LC). If I was in the market for a #2, I'd steal that one from you.:)

Thanks. I actually don’t dislike it although it would not be my first choice. It seems rare in my travels, does that have any affect on desirability?

Color "rareness" can go either way on value. Although I like the maroon a lot in the LX, for me it was anything but black when I was looking-------and pretty much everything was black. However, lots of folks like black, so go figure.

Buy what you like, not what others like or for resale value. The 200 series is not, or at least not yet, a collector's item. After all, you'll be the one, or so I assume, sitting inside and driving the truck daily :)

It appears that you are not fond of the tan interior. I would be keep looking.

I like the tan interior. It’s the red exterior that has me wondering. I am going to go look at this one in the morning.

For the LX, that color combo is on the low end of the scale for desirability along with the costa azul blue. That doesn’t mean it’s not attractive because I think it is, but it will generally be a harder sale than white, silver or black. If you are trying to talk them down on price for color, it’s probably not going to get you too far, but a maroon one will sit on the market longer which is where you’re more likely to get a discount.

Good points, thanks.

Went and took a look at the red and tan. It’s not for me.

My 18 is the Onyx Blue and Black interior, everything else is the same as everything else on Toyota of Dallas' lot, it had 18 miles on it. No rear DVD, which oddly enough was really what I liked and wanted. It was also strangely enough the only LC they would negotiate on the price. They told me the distributor "had less in this vehicle" so they could give me a better deal. Sometimes I think they just decide that they decide we need to move this particular color scheme or maybe we want to get this out there driving around. This was back in October of 17 when I got it.

I'm a big fan of this color ;) But maybe that's why I feel like I got a good deal, 2014 84K for $41K this past April.

Anything but black or white was what I was looking for. Really like my “odd” color after living with it for a year.

I think the Blue is the most impressive color for the LX, looks fantastic. Extremely rare.
This one was in Denver, I think it just sold or went to Auction, no longer on the dealer site or cars.com, only listed on CarFax as Sold.
