I use a socket that matches the race and tap it into place.
 
I bought my brass drifts from Online Metals. They sell in one foot lengths. Not sure about shipping cost since they are local to me.
 
Put your races in the freezer, and they will almost fall in. Make sure your axel parts are as warm as they can be, sunlight - warm day etc. Good Luck

Use a grinding wheel on an old race to make it slightly smaller than it should be. Mark it on the inside so you can never get it confused with the good ones. Tap it in carefully to make sure you keep it square, always tap on the -high- side, wherever that may be. Your slightly smaller diameter race driving tool (old race ground all around) should come back out easily.
