Hi there. Sick and tired of the exhaust leak around that heat riser pin on my federal '78 FJ40. So, I'm about to tear into all that and fix the problem. But while my manifold assembly is off, any advice on what else I should do?

For background, my truck is stock with 135K on the odometer. It's never been rebuilt, as far as I know (Pretty sure I'm right). I'm going to have the Aisin carburetor rebuilt while it's off. Is Mark's Offroad still the place to do that work in SoCal? Should I do any work on the head? I think the last time I did a compression check, which was several years back but probably only about 3000 miles earlier, I was getting in the 140s on each cylinder.

Thx.
