Just installed a Precision brand U-joint (part 285) from O'Reilly on the back end of the rear drive shaft of my 1998 4runner. I am worried it was too easy to install. I was able to push the bearing caps in with my thumb. I was anticipating needing to press or drive them in. Once together it does seem to be solid and drives nice. It is relying entirely on the c-clips to keep it together. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I'm wondering if I should go OEM or some other brand.

Well be happy you didn't have the fun of having to hammer the crap out of the caps and sockets. Never had an 'easy' install like yours. The c-clips are supposed to be holding it together, that's why they're there.
