i am upgrading the brake system on my 1969 40. making new lines with 10mm (vs9mm) fittings. i need to redo the rear brakes and would like some advice on the rear cylinders (going fj60 disc on fronts). so i see all the vendors list different cylinders for pre-70, then 71 has its own cylinder and then 72-up has different ones. if i am making new lines do i still need to use the year of my rear axel? i would "assume" the pre-70 cylinders have 9mm connections.
just wanting to be sure as i can't have this vehicle down for weeks as i am borrowing a garage to do this and can't have it sitting with no brakes waiting if i get the wrong parts.
thanks, you all are great.
if it is a PITA to adapt just let me know and will regroup.

Buy a set of’72-80 wheel cylinders and be done with it. Straight 10mm fittings and proportioning matched for the Toyota disc mc.

And if you need a firewall adapter, I sell those.;)
