Hi!
Im planning to buy a couple of Powertrax lockers, but i need some help. Can anyone here confirm that product number "PTNS9220883005" is the correct locker for my 1981 LandCruiser BJ42 FullFloater? (check the link below). It says 8.875" ring gear, but i isnt all the 40 diffs 9.5"? atleast the 60 and 42s?

Hi Havard:

This link shows the PowerTrax "No Slip" auto locker. Your BJ42 FF rearend uses the same type of differential as a semi-floater '81 FJ40. So, the part number listed should fit.

Regards,

Alan

The unit is the same , you can install it in the diff then install the diff into the housings for the FF axle, because you don't have access to the diff via a cover.
I would be worried about using it in the front, but would like to hear some comments about that.

I enjoyed the pics. Nicely done work ,man..

I thought the standard size Cruiser ring gear was 8.8" or so, at least through 60 series trucks.
