after reading the power steering thread earlier it made me think of mine and how every time you start her up the first several rotations are a little rough and makes a squeeling noise. Is this just warming up or is there something trying to tell me something is about to go wrong? Thanks for your help. Its an 81 fj60

If it squeels and 'jumps' while you are turning the wheel it is a worn or loose power steering belt.
Once the car and belt warm up it is probable soft and flexible enough to provide enough grip so that it doesn't squeel. Since the belts are 'V' shaped they need to sit up in the groove in the pulleys, and they need to be tight enough not to slip.

squeeling is loose belt... groaning is low on fluid. Check both....

Just to let everyone know I ended up getting an OEM pump from the good guys at American Toyota and I'm having the guys at CTS, up in Conifer (West of Denver) install it next week. Thanks guys for all of your help.
