I have a 1989 HJ61-12HT. The seals on my ps pump started leaking. I took it to my local shop for a rebuild. That rebuild didn't hold. I ordered a rebuilt unit from a known parts house and that unit failed (leaking), too. The parts house replaced the unit and the new unit lasted about 6 months. It has now also failed - not leaking but not pumping fluid.

My local shop is suggesting we replace the Toyota pump with something more common - GM or? Has anyone had any experience changing an LC to a different brand pump?

I appreciate any help/info offered!

Cheers!

not sure the 2F setup will work on a 12HT??

is new OEM pump not available?

Maybe contact West Texas Off Road for a rebuild.

Of course new would be best but if NLA this place has a good reputation.

Subscribed. I'm watching this thread to see what works for you. I have wondered if the saginaw pump would, or could be modified to work with the 12HT (or in my case, 2H). Please post up if you get something to work.
