No. The bolt that's up against the exhaust horn is a PITA, but you can get it. Loosen or remove all the other bolts and push the pump forward. The bolt will be tight against the horn, but you can remove it. I shaved the bolt head down a bit when I reinstalled.

i've been able to do it all by removing the bracket that holds the pump on.

cut a slot in the bracket for that back bolt for next time.
