My work here is done.
Hey guys,

My power steering went out. (This is on a '91.) Kind of funny, actually: The wife comes back in after just leaving for work and says, "The Land Cruiser won't turn." She left it parked right in the middle of the street in front of our house with the flashers on. :) The belt is turning, and the fluid level is ok. What should I suspect other than the pump?

Haven't had time for a thorough investigation yet...

With the truck running you should be able to see the fluid moving (noticeable) in the PS reservoir. If it is not, the pump might be terminal/have a broken a pump shaft. If it is moving, check your steering gear for proper lubrication or damage or clogged fluid passages, and/or front end component damage like ball joints and links...
