I've had an intermittent loss of power with my HJ60.

Starts fine, runs fine, then all of a sudden I have to down shift to maintain speed or, in some cases, keep moving. Then it goes away and all is fine.

It can run fine for days, then a drop in power (I know how do you know there is a drop in power with the 2H?), give it a bit and all is back to normal.

I've changed the fuel filter and drained the separator. I did not find any water in the fuel.

No smoke when starting or running. Starts up even when cold.

What else could cause this?

Thanks for the help.

Slow HJ60

For what it's worth I've experienced the same thing with my 2H, Sometimes I wonder if it's my imagination but it seems to become more apparent climbing hills. Some days it hauls itself up them like a normal vehicle and other days on the same hill I have to downshift and cane it like a lazy donkey just to keep from dropping too far below the speed limit.

This is a noticeable hesitation, feels like fuel starvation. If not the filter, I wondering if the fuel pump may be going.

Not the usual, I wasn't above 2000 rpm's before I started going up hill thing.

i have the same problem with my 3b in my BJ60..

mine can be fine for weeks, then the same power loss! imagine the 3B LOSING power!?! changed the filters etc.. any thoughts?

Is there any relation to fuel level in the tank?
Could be as simple as a fuel line that got corroded and has a pinhole every now and than just above fuel level.
Or somthing trivial like an airleak somewhere in the fuelline.
Say this because a friend has been searching for more than a year to solve a similar problem.
I advised to place (temporarely) a clear fuel line with a vertical loop in as close to the injectorpump as he could and check for air in the hose the moment he had this problem. Took two days, then there was air. Found the line in the tank was corroded.
