Looking at upgrading the brakes on my 74 HJ45. Does the H have a vacuum pump? I didn't see anything like that...just wondering what my options are. I know there are electric units...just wondering what my options are...

check the back of the alternator, that's where the vac pump is on the 2H. if you don't have a brake booster, and don't have a clutch booster, you probably don't have a vac pump though. maybe a later alt would bolt up?

I saw those vacuum pumps and mine doesn't have that. hmmm...I guess i should just see how used to it I am after bleeding and getting them working right.
 
We'll, without a booster or vacuum the pedal is going to be hard. I dunno what kind of bore that one has but you could try and upgrade to a bigger bore or find a used alt that has a vacuum pump on it and put it on and run a vacuum booster like the later models. They aren't cheap though.

This is the 2H alternator shows the vacuum pump and bracket. Hope its of some help. cheers
