Looking for a local shop that does powder coating - couple of small items (aluminum valve cover, air cleaner, etc) - anyone have recommendations for a local shop that handles this? East Memphis / Bartlett etc preferred. TIA.

As someone who's done business with Rick Jr(current owner) I'd suggest you find someone else. Their business priority is wrought iron and race car chassis. Everything else is a second thought.
As a member of the racing community they do a hit or miss job on a lot of things. From poor application to poor turn around time I've seen it all.
Kings Custom Coatings in Arkansas has great reviews. They are similar to ricks in that their pricing is inconsistent.
Powder coat is very easy and rewarding if you have small items and think you can tackle the job yourself. Plenty of youtube videos out there as well to help get you started.
