Powder Coating for new factory wheels (unnecessary?) (1 Viewer)

Have just bought new Kendra tires (33x9.50 r 15) and factory wheels painted black. My son wants me to powder coat the wheels with same color for protection. However, seems utterly unnecessary as street use only and factory should be A+.

Anyone see any value in powder coating OEM wheels with same color???

My understanding is the black is factory primer.

Nevermind. Found out they came with a primer coat only. So will powdercoat.
