    I have some pics that are more than 70KB. Can they be cut down some how?

    there might be a better way, but you can go into a photo program and change the size, make it smaller.

    I use a freebie called IrfanView. It's for the Windows platform and works very well.

    I will play with it but can you tell me where to look to shrink the KB down?

    Kurt,
    Load the image into the app then "Image" then "Resize/ReSample."

    800x600 will be too big for an attachment (depends on color depth of your image) I usually use 400x300 if it will be an attachment and 800x600 if I am linking from my hosting account.

    I think it is a Blandings turtle. I didn't want to pick up the Snapping turtle to show its bottom... They bite!!!
