There is a missing part. I’m struggling with Gaia. If anyones an expert I’d love a lesson.

I struggle with Gaia as well. I usually use Garmin Connect to create routes then export the .gpx file and upload to Gaia. I also find it easier to work on a PC and not a phone. The phone interface is not too intuitive. Sometimes you have to 'free-hand' a route if the software won't follow/recognize a particular trail/road.

Things in Colombia are going great. The country is absolutely beautiful and the people are pretty much the nicest folks I’ve ever met.

We were invited to attend the first ever Colombia car camping (overland) festival near Puerto Barrios, Colombia. We made lots of new Colombian friends and reunited with other travelers we’ve met along the way.

Hey I am going to make another suggestion.

If you can swing it go to Villa de Leyva. Some of the most awesome fossils found in this hemisphere there. I bought a piece of coprolite there and had some excellent trout too. Very nice little village, at least when I was there in 2008.

I was going to also suggest a dip in the mud volcano, its pretty awesome. You have already passed it though.

We went to villa de Leyva and liked it so much….we went back. A great little town with hiking right out your door. Enjoyed an opera in the town square one evening. I could spend a lot of time there for sure.

Some light home remodeling work today.
The red cushions were replaced with grey. The red cushions were odor absorbers (Dixie). The new grey cushions are easily wiped off and have higher density foam.

Storage bags were added to the bottom of the sleep platform which will come in handy for winter clothes. This was previously wasted space. Also a kitchen accessory bag on the back cabinet. Not shown is a shower accessory bag.

Time to jump over to Africa ?

Africa? Not gonna lie, we’ve thought of it.

The first thing we gotta do is get the hell out of Colombia. Hard to do because we like it so much.

A few shots from a trip we made last week to Puerto Cerrano, Colombia on the Orinoco River. We crossed by boat to Venezuela.

The round trip dirt part of route 40 from Puerto Gaitan to Puerto Cerrano was 684 miles. This was without a doubt the most difficult road I’ve ever driven. Seldom out of second gear. Dust, huge potholes and ruts. No gas, water or anything else for literally hundreds of miles.

The troopy continues to perform flawlessly.
