Somebody should sticky this for the winter, BURRRRRR.

Thanks Rigger.

It is in FAQ. I froze last winter. This winter, it's gonna be different!

I have been afflicted with a LONG time in warming up. I flushed all the hoses and both heaters. I had a new thermostat installed and gave both gaskets to the mechanics to put in, but I didn't "show/tell them what needed to be done"

well today, while doing several fixes/upgrades, I pulled the thermostat housing, etc.

Lo and behold, there was no O ring on top of the thermostat - oh my. The guy had left it out.

Well I reinstalled the 82 C thermostat with BOTH gaskets.

Man oh man does it heat up NOW. This is awesome. Can't wait until the commute to work on monday.

That O ring really works

I also installed a new temp sending unit - the old one pegged the meter on super HOT, even when starting in the cold, cold morning.

Put in JimC's altered dizzy. Took of the rocker side access panel and cleaned the PCV stem - it was plugged. Changed oil and filter. Runs great

Heater full of mud.

I cut the hoses underneath my 60 that run to the rear heater to replace them and found about 8 inches worth of solid mud. the heater core was full too. Used compressed air and water to flush the hoses. and the core. works great now. nasty stuff looked like my sixty had diahrea all over the garage.
