I want to add a mechanical oil pressure gauge to the 13BT in my BJ74. I crawled around and tried to find a plug or someplace that I could just tap in: I failed.

Is there any place where I can easily tap into the oil system for this gauge's plumbing?

(I've read the electric sender is a pain to remove.)

Remove your actual oil sensor and add a "T". Then, put back your sensor and your new mech oil hose on.

Easy job.... Well on a 3B... I do not know how it is with the 13BT turbo in place. Should be more easy than tap a new hole somewhere else.

As mentioned in other thread, take your airbox out for access to sender it's a lot easier this way, I've ordered my T adapter to check pressure, and this is how I will be getting access to put t adapter in, don't be put off by previous attempts to get sender out, we have progressed, airbox out is the way to go !!

Gotcha. I will order BSPT fittings Monday. Thanks!

Good idea Mr. Galt. I'll do that after I know they work. They're plumbing fittings from McMaster-Carr.

Right now I need to order Harbor Freight cheapo-Crow's-foot socket set, metric.
