I just bought a 1984 FJ60 w/ 177,000 miles on it, and I think it needs a tune up, I was wondering what plugs and wires people have used?

On my FJ40 (nearly the same engine) I just took them to napa and got their replacement. I got wires, plugs, rotor button, points, condensor and distributor cap. Been workin just fine so far. That was back in August right after I bough it.

I usually go OEM with plug wires, but it pays to measure the resistance in the wires before tossing them. NGK plugs work well.

Check for intake/exhaust manifold leaks on your 2F.
