Hey, I've got a solenoid valve wire on a 76 fj40 with a 2f motor, and I cant figure out where it goes for the life of me....so if anybody knows where it runs to from the carb...I would apreciate it.

(+) terminal on the coil

okay...I may sound like an idiot....but where's that?

Sam;

If u have the stock ignition with the Nippondenso coil #90919-02083;

look for the two terminals on either side of the high voltage wire; one will be marked with a + sign and one marked with a - sign. The positive + post is attached to the battery thru the ignition switch.

OK, if you are not desmogged, it might be more complicated. Hope you can read this.

Essentially, the BY (Black wire with a yellow stripe) connects to the BY wire that goes from the fusebox/combination meter to the emmission control computer and voltage regulator.

Mine plugs into a wire on the driver side fender well. I assume your talking about the idle solenoid on the carb. If that's the case, I think it gets switched 12 volt power. Matt
