so the engine will stop runnig in short time if I got the same problem ?

If the conrod is only slightly bent it creates a larger combustion chamber filled with the same ammount of fuel as before. The greater area means the fuel is not heated to the correct temp for ignition therefore the engine will blow smoke (unburnt fuel).

The friend that I spoke of's rig did not stop, he just had to wait till he had time to repair (only vehicle and lived 40km from his workplace) so he continued to drive for a couple of days.

Depending on how much smoke yours is blowing it may be safer to park it (very smokey = dangerous for other road users)

jus crusin he took a huge risk driving with the condition of that engine. had the connecing rod broke it would have toasted his engine. Saw a porche 968 onwer complain of smoke comming from his engine and 2 days latter the engine gave away. Cost the owner $12,000 for a replacment engine.

I know.........I have been a quilified diesel mech for 8yrs (by no means an expert) I did not approve of what he did and suggested other measures but he took the risk and luckly nothing else failed in the meantime.
