so the engine will stop runnig in short time if I got the same problem ?
If the conrod is only slightly bent it creates a larger combustion chamber filled with the same ammount of fuel as before. The greater area means the fuel is not heated to the correct temp for ignition therefore the engine will blow smoke (unburnt fuel).
The friend that I spoke of's rig did not stop, he just had to wait till he had time to repair (only vehicle and lived 40km from his workplace) so he continued to drive for a couple of days.
Depending on how much smoke yours is blowing it may be safer to park it (very smokey = dangerous for other road users)
