Just loaded Old School into my DVD changer and selected it on the display. The sound plays but the picture stays on the menu for the CD/DVD selection? Is there anything specific i need to be doing to play the video? I am parked, not moving.

Thanks,

Y

I'm pretty sure you have to have the E-Brake engaged.

That was it...thx.. I wonder if any damage would occur to the E-Brake system if i pull it up during driving (it literally only has to be up 1/2" or less before the screen pops on). Any suggestions on this?

I'd look into a bypass setup. There's been a thread or two here about it and also on the Lexus site. Also, some guy on ebay sells a kit too. Can't recall his seller id, but I too think there's a thread on that too.

Contemplated the bypass, but just been too lazy.

Just left to go play in the snow (not sticking yet - oh well) and realized that you actually have to be stopped with the emergency brake on. I thought it would work riding down the road with the ebrake pulled up very very slightly. Do you think most audio shops would be willing to do this bypass for me?

Depending on where you live, I doubt it as I'm pretty sure it would be illegal for them to do it. Not sure if laws covering this are state by state or a federal. You'd probably have better luck paying someone on the side to do it for you if you really want it done.
