Platform for dog kennel

Have always thought it would be nice to have more storage than afforded by single Landshark drawer, so built a platform for the passenger side of the cargo area. Now I can store more gear under the 7” high platform, but still keep the dog kennel for trips.

Looks good! Is there a reason you didn’t put the kennel on top of another storage drawer?

I don’t think a kennel would fit on a full size drawer. I have kind of a fear of blind spots and don’t like a big chunk of the rear view blocked, which is why I avoided swing out tire carriers and the like on my rear bumper. I used 6” pipe nipples and found that it raises the kennel too much. Might be removing platform for long upland trips to MT and the dakotas.
