I am just about ready to set the front end down on the rubber when I noticed that my pitman arm pivot bushing must be shot on my 66 as it "rocks" when you steer the front end. :mad:I have the whole steering system out of the 74 on the floor in a pile of parts. The 74 axle is on the 66 already.
It appears that either I have to:
1.) Swap in the 74 pivot as it appears to be OK. (looks like it's gonna be a fabbed fit)
OR
2.) Re bush my 66 pivot if I can get parts.
NOW: Will the 66 steering box work with the 74 pitman arm and pivot? ???
This is hindering the slow process anyway. Any help is appreciated! Would like to complete the front SOA this W/E!
Thank you!

install a saginaw powersteering setup

much better that armstrong plus you reduce the number of ball joints and the relay rod is eliminated :D
