Pitman Arm Seal (1 Viewer)

I'm replacing the pitman arm seal on my 73 manual steering box. I went to Advanced Auto and the one I got from them is the wrong one. I was wondering if anyone knows the part number for this seal so i might be able to cross reference it.

I don't remember part number, but your Toyota dealer will hook you up.

I second that about Cruiser Dan. I just got the same seal for a 79 Power steering box.

Dan called it a Sector shaft seal.

Did you get your pitman arm off yet? I had a hell of a time and broke 2 pullers.

Koyo- CR number MH8 or s 3244 8 or 9 or s can't tell for sure. I'd first try MH8A 32 44 9 best I can do.

Thanks alot for the numbers. I'll see what napa can come up with. I got the pitman arm off. first i tried a puller and it kept wanting slip off. so i heated it up and made it a bit smaller and then had to heat the pitman arm up til it was nearly red and the used the puller with an impact gun.

Cruiser Dan sent me an OEM seal - 90311-32014, $4.42, for my 1982.

According to SOR, the seal is the same for all years, 1958-1982.

When i did mine i had to use the toyota seal the napa seal wouldn't find the box. I have had a lot of problems with aftermarket seals not fitting.
