Post up a picture of yours...

ok in a bit.

Alex,

I bought the large diff protection from Trail Gear, and modified a bit to work on the front axle of my fj40. This is what I bought here:
Trail-Gear Inc > Trail Armor

I'll post a pic of what It ended up looking like in a few.

Hi All:

Humm . . . what a timely thread!

Alan

Break a rear pinion - can only go backwards, break a front pinion can only go forward - or better yet, disengage the front axles and you can go forward and backwards.

From my recollection Bret, you have experience only being able to go backwards :flipoff2:. That was a hot day to be wrenching in the sun too!

Um, the question was pinion guard, not diff guard. :)

And we still do not have a picture of the original posters beat up pinion guard.....

:meh:

or additional details from Alan :D
