Don't you think the bole would have snapped before a 2.5" dia tree pulled up it's rootball? You're not the brightest bulb in the chandelier are ya?

Look, Captain Argumentative........all I was trying to say was that the situation may be more dangerous than it appears.

Sounds like we need a picture of said tree. A 20' tall pine tree is a very small tree. Leaning at a 30º angle, I would cut it with a 009 in about 10 seconds.

Maybe the OP misjudged and it's much taller than 20'.

I had a 20' tall apple tree fall over recently and I rocked it back and forth by hand and snapped it off at the ground and pulled it to the brush pile. By hand. Let's not make things complicated.
 
I have over 50 acres of pine. I would suggest to cut it down. In my soil (sandy loam), it just isn't worth the effort of keeping it up. It is only a matter of time before it falls.
