For the life of me, I can't remove this baked on pin stripe of my black '09 LC! I've tried everything--Goo gone with plastic razors, buffing with compound, WD40, and 3M eraser wheel.

Any tips would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Have you tried some gentle heat?

Are you sure that's not painted on?
I haven't tried heat! I probably should...

No, it's certainly not painted on. I removed some of the pin stripe with the 3M wheel, but I can't get off this portion of the pin stripe.

I have an 08 LC. I took my pin stripe off with a little heat, plastic razor blade and then goo gone to remove remaining glue.

However you may find a ghost stripe in the clear coat. Mine was parked outside most it’s life. I ended up finding new pin stripes online and reapplied. The ghost stripe was too much for me to look at.

Yes, I noticed some ghosting! I think I'll try heat and some goo gone and a plastic razor blade.

My pin stripes are never that straight… :)

3m Adhesive Remover is by far the best stuff I've found for this, and doesn't seem to damage the paint or clear at all. It easily removed the left over adhesive from 14-year old sun-baked PPF installed on another car. Just make sure you wax where you used it. Also a can will go a long way if you apply it to a towel first then let it sit over the adhesive to be removed to soak in.
