I'v been on here for a few months. I'm just now getting around to posting a build thread. I found a clean 07 LX at a Toyota dealer last year in the greater Austin area. One owner, roughly 142K miles, and a solid history of service at the Lexus dealer. It had been on the lot for a long time and the dealer had a hard time moving the car since the third row seat was missing.:smokin:

Calling it Pimp C due to the chrome wheels and purchase proximity to Houston.

I've already done quite a few things to the truck and have a backlog of pictures to upload.

First thing was to locate a set of floor mats and remove the running boards. The dealer did not have the carpet mats that come with the truck. I found some used OE Lexus all weather mats that are really nice. I wasn't completely sold on the fit and finish of the Weathertech mats.

I also took care of some rehab and maintenance items on the truck - replaced a torn speaker grill, serviced diffs and tcase fluids with Redline 75w90, refoamed the front woofers, air filter, fresh coolant, oil change, and an AHC fluid flush.

I had Landcruiser Specialist in Austin inspect the truck about a month post purchase. They advised the truck is in excellent shape and replaced the heater Ts.

With baseline maintenance completed on the truck, I moved on to some light modifications. I also moved from Austin to Seattle around this time. I drove Pimp C packed to the gills with fiancé, dog, and two cats across country.

Right before the move I noticed the spare tire had some signs of dry rot. Perfect excuse to convince the :princess: to let me throw on a set of BFG K02s 275/70/18.

Photo from somewhere in bfe Wyoming. I lost 2 of 4 Lexus center cap emblems along the way. If anyone in TX, NM, CO, WY, UT, ID, OR or WA finds some on the side of the highway PM me. :)

Owl Expedition ASAP flaps. Thanks, @Ramathorn15.

I also wanted something to replace the running board lights after removal. I was able to snag a set of V3 Owl Expedition rock lights. Thanks, again @Ramathorn15 .

Ran Stampede Pass a few weeks back using NF-7030. It was overcast and foggy, so I didn’t take many photos. Pretty easy drive. I plan on running this trail again in better weather. If anyone in the PNW is interested let me know.

Wiring routed for roof rack mounted light bar. Decided to drill a new hole through the firewall on the drivers side to pass the wires through.

This is the light bar I’ll be running as soon as Ben is finished building my rack.

What was your cost on this? I have this planned for my one piece depots for my LC and want to get some black friday deals.

Brackets are just under $100
Morimoto kit and accessories were around $300
If you want the high beam/drl kit it’s around $190

TRS usually runs a 20%-25% off Black Friday deal.

I’m sure you’ve seen this thread about the brackets and install. If not, check it out.

Looks good! Love the contrast of the rack color.

How's the wind noise?

Zero wind noise and I’ve tested it up to 70mph. The fins on the light bar were initially causing some noise, but some weatherstripping on the bottom of the light eliminated that completely.

Purchased a set of Tundra wheels off craigslist and had them powder coated in a matte grey. Tried my best at color matching the center caps using anthracite plasti dip. Close enough for me. Also coated all 5 wheels with a 9H ceramic coating.

now that the chrome wheels are gone I think I need to change my cruisers name ... open to suggestions.

I also swapped out the tired rear springs with new LC AHC springs. The original springs were pretty compressed from 14 years of use. Ride quality is definitely improved.
