I am working with H55/downey bellhousing/SBC. I tried to assemble everything and I couldn't get the tranny to seat on the bellhousing, investigation found the "extended" bushing from AA was to long and bottomed out on the input shaft. The bushing was a pain to get out! I have a roller bearing pilot that looks just like the picture on the downey website, but I don't know if the input shaft goes into the crank far enough to engage correctly, and I don't want to destroy another bearing. Can you tell from the picture if it should work? Or is there something else I can check to verify it will work?

Should the 3 bolts in the motor mount be enough or should I weld a tab on the backside and bolt through the top of the frame rail?

Thanks for your help, its nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
