Anyone out there have any pics of 40's that have been shortened down to a "cab" setup something like these below?

I'm plotting a spring project and am looking for ideas.

Here's one with the 45 cab that has been lengthened a couple of inches inches. Since then he's added a full cage inside the cab. Belongs to Shotgun here on MUD.

How do you shorten the white top? Do you cut and refiberglass? Any pics from the back, would like to see how far back you could put your seats. I'm puttin in buckets on my 68 and was plannin to set the seats back a little bit for comfort being 6'1". I'm replacing my bed also with a not as rusted one. I could always set bac the roll bar a little. Thanks, Chuck

You've already got a pic of mine (red one, first pic).
I had a full cage before I did the chop. All I had to do was modify the rear stays - rest of cage unchanged.

Yes - cut and re-fibreglass the top.

You can set the seats back as far as you want - you just modify the length of the 'chop' to suit.

Ige, the red truck in your post looks exactly like my buddies in Honduras. He posts on here under BJ40man.
