Hey Guys.

Just bought the PFRAN Kit for my 2001 LC.

Regular Kit
+ License Plate Kit
+ LED Parking Light Kit

Here's what came in the four individually wrapped foams:

Upper Right is clearly the overhead lights...
For the rest, it's a complete guess what goes where... and I'm not sure the significance of the red sockets on vs. the normal white ones??

Anyone feel like helping a brother out today??? :)

Thanks!

I just installed these about a month ago so I think I can help a little.

Upper right square LED panels plug into the bottom right dummy bulbs with wires. You have an extra overhead and dummy light in case one fails.

The bottom left 2 reds are for the front over head reading lights. The 4 above the red LEDs I assume 2 of which are also for the individual overhead reading lights. I installed one red on driver side and one white on passenger side. By doing this I was able to take my 2 extra overhead reading lights and install them in the license plate lights. Since you bought the extra license plate lights you have a bunch of options.

The upper left are the door lights. You have one extra (5 total). Please note that none of my door lights worked until I manually beefed up the connectors (little wires). Once I did that I was able to seat them fully in the door sockets and they work 100% of the time. I posted pix of that a while ago, I think in the what have you done with your 100 today thread.

No clue which ones go in the LED parking lights but I am guessing it's the ones in the upper left (row of 3 = 1 extra).

The 3 mini panel LEDs are all alternates for dome lights. I have center DVD so my center light only had 2 bulbs OEM. I just used one large panel bulb and stuck it in the center of the light. I did not use another mini panel LED on the other open slot as the one main panel was bright enough. Technically you can use the mini panel lights in place of the larger panel lights. And for those without the overhead DVD maybe they actually have 3 OEM bulb slots so that makes sense.

The red bases are "red" lights. I put mine in the front reading lamps.

The overhead lights connect to the bases at the bottom right.

The two additional ones bottom right are for the 2nd row reading lights.

The white bases can be used in the doors. Larger ones are brighter.

You will also have some for spares.

Just open up your light housings and you will see where they go. make sure to test them for polarity before you close up the housing.

They seem to be a bit finicky about which way the electrons flow so make sure you test them as you install so you don't end up having to pop the covers off again.

Recently, I installed this kit... Huge difference, and PFRAN's service was great. Yes, check polarity, etc before replacing covers.

And the red map lights are great.

My only wish would be that the license plate lights would be more luminant.

Not sure why anyone would want brighter license plate lights; the only folks interested in reading your tags are the popo and the folks running the traffic cameras... :meh:

Maybe SO bright that it washes out the entire plate as a big hotspot and makes it impossible to read (or photograph)!!!! :)

Just did this over the weekend with this kit that I got from a member.. You are correct the little ones on the upper left are for the parking lights. I believe these are referred to as TBase 10. They are the same as the License plate lights. If you go like I did with the RED ones then you will have
2 for the front headlights
2 for the lic plate
3 left over.

I will also note that I had the same issue with the door lights (6 squares per side). I also used the trick you did n55luvr after seeing your post so "Thanks!" for that I was getting pretty frustrated as everything else went great. I untwisted some silver speaker wire and then braided it around the wires and all the doors work great now..

Glad that helped costalcat!

The LEd conversion is still one of my favorite mods on our LC (just getting started modding!). I am always entertained when I open a door and the interior is bathed in nice white light. Awesome!!
