From the information I learned here from others, I sprayed my gauge cluster with Duplicolor Stainless steel purchased from autozone for 8$. Seems to be a close match to the original pewter color. Pic below compared to the original glove box color with shift instruction plate removed. I'm happy with the results!

Looks good, well done

Thanks! I'll be fabricating bezels for the early '90s Celica clock and the FJ60 tachometer going into my '71 FJ40 build. Now I have a good color to use.

They come in a 6pk on Amazon. I've had mixed results. Color seems close, but texture is rough. Wondering if i can knock it down some with a "0000" steel wool?

That was my experience as well, I’ve used another product with pretty good luck. I’ll try to find out where a cab is at.

I’m pretty sure it is Rustoleum industrial SS.
There is anothe commercial grade stuff that @Weber Sarge has recommended and used.

Clear coat it...
That helps with uv as well.
