I am trying desperately to sell my 1986 HJ60 that is currently parked in Peterborough, Ontario:

Part of the problem is the prices being quoted to repair the Head. A prospective buyer is having a new head shipped in, but is being quoted 1000 and over to have it installed. In the shop time guide it says 8.5 hrs total. The old head has already been removed, and it should just be a matter of installing the new one. Can anyone shed some light on this? Does anyone know of a Cruiser Mechanic or Good diesel Mechanic in or near Peterborough, Ontario? Seems even at 100 an hour, and assuming the installation is the lions share of the job, shouldn't it come in around 5 or 600. I also have the Head gasket already to provide to the buyer? Advice?
