I am installing a Igniter II in my distributor and a Flamethrower II coil. Do I need to retain the ballast resister for the coil?

Wasnt the Flamethrower 2 ignition coil not ballast resisted?

according to their site the
Flame thrower II has a resistance of .6 ohm
Flame thrower has a resitance of 1.5 or 3.0 ohm

i would say that the FTII needs a resistor IMO

edit: I noticed now that you are using the ignitorII ...i dont know if it requires a ballast or not...call their tech line to get a definative answer

they recomend that you use the II with the II but...dont say if you retain the ballast on thier site
